SIZE OF JOB

JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

  • The job holder is engaged in the production of design and working drawings and provides guidance to designers/draughtsmen.
  • The job holder reports to the Section Head functionally and Project Lead Engineer on projects.

JOB DIMENSIONS:

  • Preparation of all design-related documents like layouts, hookups, loop drawings, interconnection drawings, etc.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

I&C Designer to work independently with minimum help from the Sr. Designer and Engineer in Oil and Gas Projects for the following:

  • Preparation of Instrument location layouts, cable layouts, interconnection drawings, loop drawings, F&G location layouts, fire alarm layouts, etc.
  • Preparation of Hook up and Installation drawing.
  • Preparation of IO list, Cable Schedule, JB schedule, etc.
  • Preparation of MTO from Hook up and Installation drawings.
  • Capable of interdisciplinary coordination and collection of required data.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

INTERNAL:
With Engineer/Sr. Designer.

EXTERNAL:
None.

DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:

JOB SPECIFICATION

QUALIFICATION:
Three-Year Diploma or Degree.

MINIMUM WORKING EXPERIENCE:

  • Overall: [5] yrs.
  • Oil & Gas (Upstream): [5] yrs.
  • Middle East: [ ] yrs.
  • Similar Position: [3] yrs.

OTHER HARD SKILL REQUIREMENT (TECHNICAL AND EDUCATION):

  • EPC experience.
  • Experience in SPI In Tools.
  • Experience in 3D modeling software like SP3D, PDS, or PDMS.
  • Exposure to SP PID will be an added advantage.

SOFT SKILLS (BEHAVIORAL):

  • Capable to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines at all times.
  • Attentive to details and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
