Job Description
Minimum Qualification:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (3 years) or Mech. Draughtsman-ITI (With higher years of experience)
Years and Type of Experience:
- Minimum 12 years in Piping Design.
- Minimum 8 years in Oil & Gas Projects.
- Minimum 6 years in a Consultancy/EPC Background.
- Minimum 2 years of post-training in drafting and CADD System.
Technical Knowledge:
- Onshore piping design for Oil, Gas, and Water fields.
- Ability to independently originate and check Piping Design Drawings.
- Familiarity with design requirements of other disciplines (Civil, I&C, Electrical, and Pipeline).
- Thorough knowledge of 2D and 3D Software Applications.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME B31.3, ASME VIII, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, etc.).
- Thorough knowledge of Pipe support Requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Execute the job in compliance with project requirements and company’s Quality Systems.
- Meet project man-hours and schedule targets for all assigned deliverables.
- Work with project P&IDs, Piping Material Specifications (PMS), and other project specifications.
- Produce Plot Plans, GA Drawings, Layouts, Isometrics, and Bill of Materials.
- Liaise with engineers for the production of piping drawings.
- Check computer models and piping drawings.
- Monitor and coordinate progress of assigned supporting designers/draftsmen.
- Prepare Detail Design and insulation drawings.
- Coordinate with other discipline engineers/designers on piping design requirements.
- Prepare and check routing layouts.
- Assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets.
- Travel to field project locations for field sketching, dimensions, system walk-downs, etc.
- Develop 2D and 3D CADD Designs.
- Independently perform assignments with minimum guidance/supervision.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate own work to produce timely, accurate, high-quality results.
Software Knowledge:
- AutoCAD, PDS, PDMS, MicroStation, Navisworks, CADWorks, Smart Plant 3D, MS Office.
