Job Purpose and Scope:<\/strong> The Drafter will provide guidance and support to technical staff and clients with creative multimedia\/illustrations for paper, digital, and online materials. Additionally, the Drafter will prepare and revise engineering drawings, schematics, logic diagrams, and block diagrams based on sketches and information provided by engineers and technicians.<\/p>

• Prepares routine working sketches and layouts.<\/li>\n\n
• Works with and assists higher-level engineers and designers on a project-by-project basis.<\/li>\n\n
• Delivers drafting services meeting Company, customer, and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n\n
• Drafts moderate to complex drawings using 2D or 3D CADD, involving planning and layouts for major installations.<\/li>\n\n
• Produces elementary layouts for facilities, equipment, locations, etc., from reference drawings and makes related routine calculations.<\/li>\n\n
• Conducts field visits and prepares as-built drawings and field sketches, assisting in more complicated elements as part of a project group.<\/li>\n\n
• Extracts drawings from a 3D model.<\/li>\n\n
• Creates 3D models with assistance on design by more experienced Designers and Modellers.<\/li>\n\n
• Drafts intelligent P&ID’s.<\/li><\/ul>

  Job Duties & Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, or layouts from sketches.<\/li>\n\n
  • Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from initial ideas, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets, and other data.<\/li>\n\n
  • Operate computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting workstations.<\/li>\n\n
  • Develop and prepare design sketches.<\/li>\n\n
  • Complete documentation packages and project drawing sets.<\/li>\n\n
  • Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.<\/li>\n\n
  • Review and verify CAD digital files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established drafting standards.<\/li>\n\n
  • Utilize Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD design software to:
    • Develop and revise CAD drawings of new and existing plants.<\/li>\n\n
    • Create 3D models and evaluate the fitment of equipment through the modeling process.<\/li>\n\n
    • Draft 2D dimensional mechanical and assembly drawings from 3D models based on Engineering design and criteria.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>\n\n
    • Confer with engineering and technical personnel, providing information to supervisors.<\/li>\n\n
    • Acquire accurate data for models, drawings, and bill of materials and process engineering change requests.<\/li>\n\n
    • Must be detail-oriented and able to switch between multiple job assignments with ease, working as a team member with all departments.<\/li>\n\n

    • ASME vessel drawings (2D & 3D), utilizing CADWorxs\u00ae.<\/li>\n\n
    • Process packages skid layouts (3D), utilizing CADWorxs\u00ae.<\/li>\n\n
    • Review of sub-vendor drawings & documents.<\/li>\n\n
    • Maintain up-to-date flat files and the library of drafting\/drawing standards.<\/li>\n\n
    • Organize all electronic drawings during the project.<\/li>\n\n
    • Preparation\/design of extinguishing systems.<\/li>\n\n
    • Determination of emergency exits and escape routes.<\/li>\n\n
    • Procedural design of F&G system.<\/li>\n\n
    • Procedural design of electrical hazardous classification documents.<\/li>\n\n
    • Particular Experience in:
      • Physical Effects Modeling and Quantitative Risk Assessment using Phast software.<\/li>\n\n
      • Facilitating hazard workshops for Process Safety hazards (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL classification, Bow-Ties, ALARP, SIMOP’s, and Facility Layout and Sitting).<\/li>\n\n
      • Developing ALARP demonstrations for Process Safety risks and developing HSE Cases.<\/li>\n\n
      • Knowledgeable of Sour Gas design and operations standards and guidelines.<\/li>\n\n
      • Knowledgeable of Total and Shell Standards and Guidelines.<\/li>\n\n
      • Knowledgeable of Fire Protection standards and guidelines.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>
