The Masters course covers practical aspects of Microwaves & Telecom with hands on practical labs. My final year project is practical simulation and design of 2GHz Microwave Radio for Voice & Data communication.
The Bachelors course covers basics of Telecommunications fundamentals and Satellite communication. My final year project is Directional Antenna built to detect the Maximum Peak signal and lock the antenna in that direction to receive maximum signal for effective communication of Radio Systems.
Work & Experience
TELECOM ENGINEERING SPECIALIST (Ministry of Interior Projects) –ARCHEN Engineering Consultants & Other Manpower Co. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, December 2005 – November 2022 · Contributed Technical Specifications for the Request for Proposal (RFP) preparation for the turnkey projects in four(4) emirates for Public Safety Networks in the government projects of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to upgrade the legacy systems. · Conducted Technical Evaluation of the Vendor bids for the 4 projects, each of 100 Million US$. · Finalized Scope of Work for the 4 projects in consultation with the winning bidder company. · Reviewed and approved post-award technical documents, equipment list, drawings and acceptance test procedures to execute the network rollout. Repeat tests for punch-list failed items. · Monitored TETRA Public Safety Networks rollout, RF and Microwave System Engineering and formal Acceptance Testing. Prepared system status updates and weekly performance reports. · Forecast of functional workload, identify staff competencies and plan for trainings as per business needs. . Consulted with internal and external stake holders, administrators and engineers to identify business and technical requirements for proposed system modifications and technology purchases.
MANAGER NETWORK OPERATIONS — Hughes Network Systems New Delhi, India, February 2001 – December 2005 · Maintained Ku-band Satellite NOC Centre at Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL), Greater Noida, India with 400 VSAT remote terminals and performed bandwidth optimization. · Implemented Hughes DirecWay Satellite Hub C-band system at West Bengal State Electricity Board (WBSEB), Kolkata, India with 120 remote terminals. · Performed daily Hub Operations with a team of 6 Engineers at Network Operations Centre (NOC), conduct daily Test Procedures, identify faults, troubleshooting and maintained satellite bandwidth. · Continuously monitored NOC equipment performance parameters to identify the risks and fix the RF and Microwave sub-system faults, proactively. · Gathered data from the client, analyzed, addressed system improvements and upgrades required to implement the new requirements. · Maintained high network uptime of 99.95% for the mission critical invoicing operations. · Conducted 24x7 NOC operations by streamlining the working environment, ensure processes are followed, identifying areas of improvement, establishing technical and operational standards as per contract scope. · Continuous liaison with the customer team to work harmoniously at the NOC center and conduct weekly customer meetings. · Prepare Monthly/Quarterly status reports for Hughes upper management with regard to NOC operations, Hub equipment spares, NOC ticket queue backlogs, Customer complaints and inquiries for new features. · Coaching 50 client personnel for System features, Operations and Fault diagnosis.
